Welcome to ASU Preparatory Academy. My name is Claudia Mendoza and I am the STEM Academy, K-8 director of learning at the Polytechnic Campus. Before coming to ASU Prep, I served as an executive coordinator for Access ASU in the Office of Educational Outreach and Student Services. Prior to joining ASU, I was executive director of the Parent Institute for Quality Education. We implemented a comprehensive parent involvement program that empowered and prepared students and their parents in their pursuit of achieving a college education. Previously, I spent over ten years in multiple roles working in the Tempe Elementary School District. I taught kindergarten and first grade; I also served as a language acquisition coach and a reading specialist. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from New Mexico State University and a Masters of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision from Arizona State University.
Every day is a new adventure in learning and there is no other place I'd rather be than here with our amazing students! I look forward to seeing you on campus. My door is always open if you have any questions or ideas on how to make our school even better.
Live, Lead & Learn,
Mrs. Mendoza
